We are in Kolkata

"Don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving. Let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus our Lord." Philippians 4:6-7

God has been answering your prayers! We are picking up our daughter in 2 hours.
It is a HUGE blessing that we even made it here yesterday. After we comfortably flew to New Delhi (we had 3 seats for each of us! it was NICE), we arrived with the anticipation of a 4 hour layover and then take off for Kolkata. Well, apparently while we were in the air, Air India pilots went on strike. So, by the time we arrived in India our flight was cancelled. The staff at the airport had us all sit in a holding area until they knew what to do with us. Right away, Chad and I held hands and prayed to our God that he would get us to Kokata. Not even 30 minutes later, we were one of few people who got to fly to Kolkata on a plane that had been delayed 4hrs from the strike. Apparently, they found a pilot. So, we ran to the terminal and walked right on the plane. Praise God

We are well rested and ready to receive our little girl. Another praise! We are praying we will be able to fly to New Delhi tomorrow as planned. Air India is our airline for all our flights. Lord willing, I will be updating you tomorrow from New Delhi.

Wow -- what a way to begin the trip! You just can never tell what's going to happen during any part of the adoption process. Seems like you stayed calm and remembered whose hands are holding you. I am so thrilled to think of you meeting your daughter TODAY!
